OnlyFans link in bio on Instagram and TikTok: the rules

Where each platform lets you put a clickable link, what the link is allowed to point to, how agencies build landing pages, and how to tag one link per account.

Short answer: Instagram allows up to five links in a bio, TikTok's website field depends on account type and eligibility, and YouTube Shorts links are not clickable, so the channel page carries them. Every platform's rules still apply to where the link goes. Many agencies point bios at a neutral landing page with one tracked link per account, rather than linking adult content directly.

Link rules per platform

As of 17 September 2026:

Platform Where a link works Limits Source
Instagram Profile bio Up to five links TechCrunch, 18 April 2023
TikTok Profile website field Depends on follower or regional requirements, or a business account; under 1,000 followers also needs business registration Buffer, 9 December 2025
YouTube Channel profile links, long-form descriptions Not clickable in Shorts descriptions or comments; needs advanced features YouTube Help

The destination matters as much as the placement. TikTok does not allow "facilitating access to sexual services, such as offering or asking for sexual acts, sexual chats or imagery, or pornography" (TikTok guidelines, archived copy), and YouTube's external links policy prohibits links to pornography, including links in channel sections and verbal directions. On Instagram, a flagged profile component can show up in Account Status; see Instagram Account Status.

Landing pages

A landing page is a small page that lists the creator's official profiles and links. What makes it suitable for a public profile:

  • The first screen is SFW: name, photo, short bio, social links.
  • It clearly states the creator is an adult and that some linked sites are for adults only, with the destination site handling its own age checks.
  • No explicit images or text on the page itself.
  • It loads fast on a phone.

Whether a given landing page is acceptable is the platform's call, not yours or ours. If a platform removes or flags the link, change it rather than disguising it. Never use redirects or shortened links to hide where a link goes.

One link per account

Give every social account its own tagged link so you know which page sends visitors. A simple scheme:

Account Link
@example.maya (TikTok main) example-landing.com/maya?src=tt-main
@example.maya.fit (TikTok niche) example-landing.com/maya?src=tt-fit
@example.maya (Instagram) example-landing.com/maya?src=ig
Maya Example (YouTube) example-landing.com/maya?src=yt

These handles and domains are made up. The full setup is in tracking traffic per account.

Keeping bios consistent

  • Same display name pattern across platforms, so fans recognize the creator.
  • No sexual emojis or innuendo in bio text.
  • Check each link after any landing-page change, on a phone.
  • Record every bio and link in your account sheet. See account ownership and access.

Where Farmero fits

Farmero posts content and warms up accounts; it does not edit bios or manage links. Bio changes stay a manual step for whoever owns the account. What it does handle is covered in posting.

FAQ

How many links can an Instagram bio have?

Instagram announced support for up to five links in a bio in April 2023.

Why can't my creator's TikTok add a website?

The website field depends on TikTok's current follower or regional requirements, or a business account. Check the edit-profile screen in the app.

Are Shorts description links clickable?

No. YouTube says URLs in Shorts descriptions and comments are not clickable. Use the channel's profile links.

Is a link shortener a good idea?

Only for tracking, and only when the destination is obvious. Hiding a destination from a platform puts the account at risk.
