Power and hubs
Each phone charges and works at once, and a hub that can't keep up makes phones brown out and drop off. Size hubs by power per phone and give each hub its own Mac port — see USB hubs. Several Macs, not one
Splitting phones across Macs keeps a single fault — a crashed Mac, a failed hub — from taking out the whole farm. Group phones by Mac, rack and hub, and give each group the same shape so one fix applies to all. A Mac mini is the usual host — see Mac mini as a host.
Heat and space
Twenty-five phones with screens always on make real heat. Open shelving, upright stands and moving air stop being optional. Apple designs iPhones for ambient temperatures up to 35 °C (95 °F) (Apple Support), so measure the room at its warmest.

What breaks at scale is usually the routine, not a device:
- Standard build per phone: same settings, same checklist.
- Staged updates: one canary phone, then batches.
- One inventory sheet that is always current.
- A daily review of failures and uncertain posts.
