When the whole account is affected
TikTok said in April 2024 that accounts which repeatedly post FYF-ineligible content become temporarily ineligible for recommendation, that creators are notified, and that they can appeal (TikTok Newsroom, as of September 2026). The same update introduced Account Check, which audits your account and last 30 posts. If every new video stalls, run Account Check before you change anything else.
How to appeal
TikTok's enforcement page (as of September 2026) says that if content was made ineligible for the FYF and you believe it was an error, you can appeal, and track the appeal in the in-app Safety Center. In practice:
- Open the notice (on the video's analytics or in your inbox's system notifications).
- Read which standard was applied.
- If it is wrong, tap the appeal option and add a short, factual explanation.
- If it is right, edit your approach for future posts rather than appealing.
Appeal only when you genuinely think the call was wrong. Re-uploading the same video to get around the decision is the kind of thing enforcement rules are written against.
Preventing it
- Post content you made or have permission to use, without other apps' watermarks.
- Give each video a reason to watch beyond a two-second loop.
