Short answer: TikTok does not publish an ideal number of posts per day, and any chart claiming one is someone's opinion. A sensible start is one good video a day, moving to two or three only if quality holds and each extra post earns its own views. Test it on your own account for a few weeks. More posts of the same clip do not help, and high-volume repetitive posting runs into TikTok's spam rules.
What is actually known
- No official number. We found no TikTok help or policy page, as of September 2026, that sets an ideal daily post count.
- Spam rules exist. TikTok's integrity and authenticity rules (as of September 2026) prohibit accounts operated in bulk, through unauthorized automation, or to distribute high-volume commercial content.
- Unoriginal content is not recommended. The For You feed standards make watermarked, very short and unoriginal clips ineligible. Posting more of those does nothing.
- API caps exist for apps. TikTok's developer docs mention a daily post cap per user for its posting API, without publishing the number (TikTok for Developers, as of September 2026). See TikTok API posting limits.
Everything else, including "post 3–5 times a day", comes from marketers' own experience or datasets you cannot check.

How to test frequency
- Pick one account and hold everything else steady: niche, video length, posting window.
- Run two weeks at one post a day. Note total views and followers gained per week.
- Run two weeks at two a day with the same quality bar.
- Compare weekly totals and views per post. If the total barely moves while views per post halve, the extra post is not worth it.
- Keep the level that wins and retest every couple of months.
Use TikTok's own analytics, not a screenshot of someone else's.
What matters more than frequency
- Original content. One clip you made beats three reposts.

Keeping a schedule across accounts
