Short answer: Reels are the main discovery surface on Instagram, but only if the account and its content are eligible for recommendations. Instagram filters sexually suggestive posts from recommendations to non-followers and prefers original content over reposts. For OnlyFans models, that means SFW, original Reels, a clean profile, and a regular look at Account Status.
How Reels reach new people
Followers see a creator's Reels regardless. Reach beyond followers comes from recommendations: the Reels tab, Explore and suggested posts in Feed. Instagram's Account Status shows whether an account's content "may be eligible to be recommended to non-followers in places like Explore, Reels and Feed Recommendations" (Instagram, updated 14 October 2025). If it is not eligible, posting more will not fix it.

A Reels plan for a creator page
- Original footage only. Film for Instagram, or at least edit meaningfully for it. Content the creator owns or has permission to use.
- Formats that work clothed: talking-head, routines, travel, styling, behind-the-scenes, Q&A replies.
- Captions that describe, not tease. No innuendo, no pointing to paid content.
- Profile hygiene. Bio, highlights, profile photo and link destination should all be something Instagram would recommend. Account Status can flag profile components too.

Posting Reels on real iPhones with Farmero
