Short answer: a posting SOP is a short checklist an operator follows in the same order every day: check the hardware, review the day's queue against approvals, run or confirm the posts, resolve anything uncertain by looking at the account, and log problems. Once a week, add account status checks, a guideline review and a traffic report. Copy the version below and edit it.
Daily SOP
| # | Step | Done when |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Check every phone is connected, charged and on the right label | All phones show as connected |
| 2 | Check yesterday's report: posted, not posted, uncertain, refused | Every line has an owner |
| 3 | Resolve uncertain posts by opening the account and looking | Each marked live or not live by hand |
| 4 | Review today's queue against the approval sheet | Every post has an approval and a date |
| 5 | Check captions and on-screen text for anything not SFW | Nothing suggestive, no pointing to adult content |
| 6 | Check AI-edited clips carry the required label | Label set where required |
| 7 | Confirm no clip is going to two accounts on the same platform | No duplicates, or a written reason |
| 8 | Run or release the day's posts | Queue running |
| 9 | Midday: glance at results and any stopped runs | Stops read and handled |
| 10 | End of day: log issues, note any removed content or warnings | Log updated |
Never re-post an uncertain post without checking first. If it is already live, a second post is a public duplicate.
Weekly SOP
| Day (example) | Task | Owner |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Instagram Account Status for every account | Compliance owner |
| Monday | Read platform notices on TikTok and YouTube accounts | Compliance owner |
| Tuesday | Fill the traffic sheet: views, profile visits, link clicks, subs per link | Operator |
| Wednesday | Plan next week's content, briefs to the creator | Content lead |
| Thursday | Filming and editing | Content lead and creator |
| Friday | Creator approval, queue next week | Approver, operator |
| Quarterly | Re-read each platform's community guidelines | Compliance owner |
Links for each step: Account Status, tracking per account, content calendar, content approval.
What the SOP says never to do
- Post content without the creator's approval.
- Chat with fans while pretending to be the creator.
- Buy followers, likes or views, or join like-for-like groups.
- Create a new account to get around a restriction.
- Use content the creator does not own or have permission to use.
Automating these apps may breach their terms, and nobody can promise an account will never be restricted. The SOP keeps a human in charge of what gets posted.
Keep the SOP to one page and put it where operators work. Every time something goes wrong that the SOP did not cover, add one line to it, with the date. After a few months it reflects your real operation rather than a generic template.
How the SOP maps to Farmero
| SOP step | In Farmero |
|---|---|
| 1 | Phone list on the Mac and in the web hub |
| 2, 9 | Report of what posted, did not, and was refused; optional Telegram or ntfy message |
| 3 | Posts marked "uncertain" are never retried automatically |
| 7 | Warning when a clip is going to the same platform twice |
| 8 | Publishing switch, manual or scheduled runs |
| 9 | When it cannot identify a screen, it stops and saves evidence instead of tapping blind |
See troubleshooting for reading stopped runs.
FAQ
How long does the daily SOP take?
It depends on account count. Time it for a week, then write the real number into the SOP.
Who should do the weekly status check?
One named person. When everyone is responsible for Account Status, nobody checks it.
What should happen when a post is removed?
Log it, read the stated reason, adjust the format for that account, and tell the content lead before the next batch.
Should the SOP be the same for every model?
The steps should be. Account lists, approvers and schedules differ per model.
