How it works

Getting clips to a phone

Over the cable at 11 seconds, or through the cloud at 25.

A clip has to physically reach the iPhone before it can be posted. Farmero does that two ways and always prefers the first.

Over the cable

When the phone is plugged in, the file goes straight down USB. Measured at 11 seconds for a typical clip.

Nothing leaves your Mac. We never see the file.

Through the cloud

When a phone has no cable, the clip is uploaded, the phone fetches it, and it is deleted once delivered. Measured at 25 seconds for the same file.

This is the only case where your content leaves your machine, and it is in transit rather than in storage. See the privacy policy.

Which one you get

Automatic. Cable if there is one, cloud if not. You do not choose and there is no setting to get wrong.

Keeping clips tidy

Farmero deletes a clip once every account that was going to post it has done so — pooled or pinned. Until the last holder has posted, the file stays.
